About MR. Wonderful Planet

I joined Mr. Wonderful Planet as an intern, directly programming the login system, micropayments, and gameplay mechanics. I supported the lead programmer while following the established project structure and using Trello for task management.
My Contributions
Gameplay Mechanics
- Designed and implemented key gameplay systems, including pick-up enhancers, player movement in 3D, and interaction with the environment to enhance player engagement and game flow.
- Developed the login system and integrated it into the game's core architecture.
- Implemented the text system, ensuring smooth communication between the player and NPCs, with dynamic content display.
- Led the development of the 'Pang' minigame, from gameplay mechanics to complete integration within the game world.
- Integrated character animations, enhancing the overall player experience with smooth transitions and responsive movements.
In-App Purchases (IAP)
- Developed and implemented the in-app purchase system, enabling players to buy virtual goods and enhancements, seamlessly integrated within the gameplay experience.
Code Refactoring & Optimization
- Contributed to the refactoring of legacy code, improving its maintainability, readability, and performance.
- Collaborated with the lead programmer, fully adhering to the structure and guidelines set for the project, ensuring consistency and alignment across the codebase.
Collaboration & Adaptation
- Worked closely with the lead programmer to ensure seamless integration of new features and maintain the project’s coding standards.
- Adapted quickly to the existing development environment and workflows, integrating with the team’s technical and design vision.
